塔州中文学校成立于1997年，由当时只有25 个左右的学生，三位老师，发展到今日学生人数的100 人左右，十三位老师，多名志愿者。现如今学校有7个语言班，其中语言班中年龄从最小4岁开始。学校为同学们在课后还增设了兴趣班，为同学们能通过幼儿舞蹈，少年舞蹈班更好地了解中华文化的博大精深。曾开设的兴趣班有：儿童合唱班，太极班，成人书法绘画班，儿童国画班，棋班。

Tasmania Chinese School was established in 1997. From its early days with around 25 students and three teachers, it has grown to approximately 100 students today, supported by thirteen teachers and many volunteers.

The school currently offers seven language classes, with students ranging in age from as young as four years old. In addition to regular classes, the school has introduced a variety of extracurricular interest classes to help students gain a deeper understanding of the richness and depth of Chinese culture. These include children’s dance and youth dance classes.

Interest classes previously offered include a children’s choir, Tai Chi classes, adult calligraphy and painting classes, children’s Chinese painting classes, and chess classes.
